Yes. HoundBox services are intended exclusively for individuals who are 18 years of age or older, as they involve legal, tax, and payment responsibilities related to the importation of goods.

If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must create the account in their name and supervise the entire process, including purchases, payments, shipment tracking, and compliance with customs requirements.

HoundBox reserves the right to request identity verification and to restrict or suspend accounts that do not meet this requirement.

Most virtual stores in the USA only offer domestic shipping service (within the USA) and generally handle special promotions where they offer shipping to any part of the USA without additional charges. Stores that offer international delivery service charge shipping charges, which are higher than a domestic service. With Hound Box you pay a package shipping service based on distribution and delivery rates in the Mexican Republic

We offer two shipping options: Priority (2 to 3 business days) and Standard (3 to 5 business days).

  1. The delivery time (either Standard or Priority) starts once your package has been imported into Mexico. You can track it directly using your order number.

  2. Please allow 1 to 2 additional business days for the USA-MEX border crossing: (Border crossing days + Shipping days = Total delivery time).

Delivery times may vary during peak seasons due to high demand. When this happens, HoundBox will provide updates via social media and on the website.

  1. From Monday to Friday, we have a cut-off time at 12:00 p.m. to gather all paid shipments and schedule the border crossing.

  2. If you complete your payment after that time, the crossing will be scheduled for the following day.

  3. If you pay during the weekend, the crossing will take place on Monday.

  4. Please note:

  6. Customs times and schedules are subject to change depending on non-business days, holidays, suspensions due to unforeseen circumstances, force majeure, contingencies, or seasonal schedule adjustments.

To determine whether your product is subject to customs taxes, you must upload your receipt or invoice, as it allows us to verify the total value of your purchase. Please note that taxes are calculated based on the amount shown in this document.

Based on the total value of your receipt/invoice:

  1. From $0 USD to $49.99 USD: No taxes apply.

  2. From $50 USD to $117 USD: general tax rate applies.

  3. From $117.01 USD to $1,000 USD: A 19% general tax rate applies.

Shipping carriers consider two types of weight to calculate the shipping cost:


Actual weight:
This is the weight shown on the scale—how much the package physically weighs (in kilograms or pounds). It could be a small box that is very heavy.

Volumetric weight:
This refers to the space the package occupies. In some cases, a package may be large but lightweight, yet still take up significant space in the transport (land or air).


The shipping cost is calculated based on the greater of these two values. Therefore, if the volumetric weight exceeds the actual weight, an “overweight” charge may apply.

Charges to your credit or debit card are safe because our site is backed by the strictest protocols and international security standards (Secure Socket Layer) and trust seals. (VeriSign and AMIPCI seal).

Yes, you can consolidate (combine) several packages into a single shipment. The number of items you can consolidate depends on the product classification and the quantity allowed per type, not on the number of packages. Remember that the total merchandise value must not exceed $1,000 USD.

It's important to note that when consolidating, the original shipping boxes (not the product packaging) are discarded in order to place all items into a new single box. This means that the shipping cost will be based on the weight and dimensions of the new box, not the original ones. Additionally, any applicable taxes will be calculated based on the total value of all the products included in the consolidated shipment. Please keep this in mind when deciding to consolidate your purchases.

For your packages to be imported in consolidated operations and enjoy global tax rates, they must have a declared value equal to or less than USD 1,000.00. If the merchandise has a bigger value than that amount, it will be necessary to import it in an individual operation, pay taxes on a higher rate and also cover additional charges for customs procedures.

Hound Points are our rewards system; the more purchases you make, the more points you'll earn. They work as follows: Every dollar you spend on shipping earns you 1 Hound Point; each Hound Point is equivalent to $0.025 USD. Hound Points are cumulative and can be used to pay the freight cost of your shipment (economy or priority). They do not apply to taxes, overweight, or warehouse charges. Hound Points are valid for one year; after that time, the Hound Point will disappear. Hound Points are non-transferable to other accounts.

The insurance covers expenses associated with the repair or replacement of goods in case of damage or loss caused by HoundBox, up to a maximum amount equivalent to eighty-five percent (85%) of the declared value of the product. The customer will be responsible for a deductible equivalent to fifteen percent (15%) of the declared value. The maximum allowable limit is the total value of the products, not exceeding $1,000.00 USD (one thousand U.S. dollars).

The cost of shipping insurance is determined by applying a rate of two percent (2%) to the declared value of the goods, according to the following formula:

Declared product value x 2% = Cost of shipping insurance

Consult the insurance coverage and claims policy regarding last-mile service.

In all importations of merchandise, the intervention of an authorized customs agent is required to carry out the necessary procedures before the Mexican Customs and legally enter the merchandise into the country. However, the Hound Box services already include the import process. Only in the case of individual imports, additional charges may be applied for the customs clearance service.

At HoundBox, we receive a high volume of packages every day, so the registration and activation of your shipment may take a few hours within the same day it is delivered to our warehouse.

If you already have delivery confirmation from the courier and your package does not appear in your account within the first 24 hours, you can contact us via WhatsApp. Please have your PIN number and tracking number ready so we can quickly locate it in our warehouse.

Import taxes are calculated on the CIF value of your purchases (Cost + Freight + Insurance) and global rates of 19% are applied for most products. To apply the global import tax rates, the merchandise must have a declared value no greater than USD 1,000.00 or its equivalent in National Currency.

You have 15 days of free storage per product once it is received. During this time you can consolidate your other purchases. After the 16th day, storage charges of 50 cents per day will be applied. After the 30th day we will proceed to the destruction or abandonment of such shipments without any responsibility for HOUNDBOX.

Yes. Please contact the retailer for all exchanges and returns. Exchanges and returns are between you and the retailer; HoundBox does not take any responsibility for these transactions. However, we can assist you to return the items you have purchased. The service hast a cost of $5.5 USD and consists of repackaging your product, placing the guide provided by the store and keeping it in the warehouse for a period of 10 days to wait for the retailer to pick up the package. After this time, if the retailer has not picked up the package, it will destroyed.

The Unique Population Registry Code (CURP) is required to make purchases on some digital platforms. The Tax Administration Service (SAT) and the Ministry of Economy have implemented this measure for online transactions. Therefore, to comply with the new general import rules, you need to add your CURP in your profile. This data is mandatory to continue using the HoundBox platform.

According to the Diario Oficial de la Federación (Official Gazette of the Federation), starting September 4, 2025, imports of footwear manufactured in China (Made in China) will be subject to an additional charge (compensatory fee) when the declared customs value (the value of your product) is lower than USD 22.58. This charge is calculated as the difference between the declared price and the reference price (USD 22.58), without exceeding the limit established for each exporting company.
Example:

  1. Declared price: USD 18

  2. Reference price: USD 22.58

  3. Additional charge: 22.58 - 18 = USD 4.58 per pair
